Poker on Carnival Cruise Lines?

Of course, they could be talking about Caribbean Stud or something. Can anyone confirm or deny? Bonus points if you have sailed on the Ecstasy.

I don't know about Carnival, but other cruise lines are starting to offer real Hold'em. Usually just 1-4 tables, and always LHE. I have heard of limits from 2/4 up to 4/8 or 5/10 (can't remember which). Nothing higher, and no NLHE so far (just from what I've read, not necessarily what is true).

I have heard of high rakes, 10% up to $5.00 or more, but that is still cheaper than some out-of-country cardrooms as well as other casino games on cruises.

i am going on a carnival cruise very soon and i e-mailed them and they said that there is NO poker games where you play against other players.

I'm trying to convince the Mrs to go on a Card Player Cruise in December. It happens to be on a Carnival cruise ship.

i went on a cruise on the Carnival Destiny and there was no poker room. just video poker. a blackjack dealer told me that they used to have a poker table before the "poker boom" but it was not profitable enough to keep going and the management has been to lazy to bring it back. i know that one of the ships in the Carnival fleet has a real live poker game. i have no idea about the quality of the games spread there. my only guess is loose and fishy.
