The argosy casino is the only casino in Baton Rouge that has a poker room. it's downtown next to the mississippi river bridge.

It has 8 tables and spreads mainly hold em from 3/6 up to 10/20 plus a couple of 1/2 NL games.

On Saturday mornings they have a $100 freeze out and on sundays a $40 freeze out.

Not the best room in the world, but certainly adequate. Plan on waiting around for a little while on friday and saturday nights since they only have 72 seats.

Correct but not recent info. No 10/20 recently. Current games are 3/6, 4/8, and 2/5 NLHE 50min/300max. They will also spread some 1/2&1/2 HE and Omaha Hi. Last week was 2/5 NLHE and PLO 50/300. Eventually broke to NLHE. I'm playing tomorrow, I'll try to post more info Thursday. I didn't think they had spread 10/20 since they went from 7 to 8 tables, so I may be wrong that 10/20 is dead.

Thanks to both. I'll be there next Wednesday evening (16th) and maybe Thursday.

Tonight they spread 3/6, 4/8, 2/5 NLHE 50/300, and 4/8/12/12 1/2&1/2. There was a list for 15/30, but only one guy was on it. The NLHE game has some decent money on the table, but there wasn't a single big all in hand that I noticed. The room is small, so it is known when a big all in happens. Everybody who isn't playing a hand runs over to the table to watch. The dealers say there is a lot of nut peddling in the NLHE. The 4/8/12/12 1/2&1/2 is the action game now. When they spread LHE above 4/8, those games are pretty good. 3/6 and 4/8 are good, but kind of strange. A lot of people just calling preflop with AK, not a whole lot of aggression, but then somebody decides to raise preflop with Q3o, take a KQX flop, and play like they have a set. There is more than one of these guys. They typically don't last long, but they definitely tilt the table.
