Default snowboarding....

On advice from my drummer, I have taken three nights of snowboarding lessons down at Hyland Park - a little bump of a hill that is probably good for beginners. The first night was tonight. Our teacher is an old guy with grey hair and a 7 year old was kicking my ass easy - so I'm neither too old or too young...

Ow - ow, ow, ow...

Rule #1 - when stopping - don't let your let drag too far behind - otherwise, groin twist - pain...

Rule #2 - when strapped in with both feet, you can't use that foot to stop...LOL - apparently I don't think the bastards take their feet out at all, do they - LOL>..

Rule #3 - some HOT chicks are snowboarding - but I won't be meeting them cause unless I'm struck with a wonderous gift, I don't see myself doing this past the three weeks - I wasn't an outdoorsy person esp. in winter but I figured I'd try it -

been rough on me so far - actually had to nap afterwards - LOL.

If snowboarding is anything like skiing, you better learn quick. I have seen plenty a movie where there were hot ski bunnies doing it left and right. At first they are going to be humping the big pro snowboarders, but, due to the [censored] nature of the "pros" and the crush you have on the hottest (but least available) girl, your friends will have to join some snowboarding contest (as the underdogs of course), get the girl, and most importantly, win the snowboarding contest. If you can't do it, well, Corey Feldman will.

The only time I ever snowboarded was for this high school trip. I got about 20 minutes of "lessons", which was more like 3 minutes since there were a bunch of other people. So the only thing I learned to do was plough. Then my school was called up to this place for lunch and afterwards the lesson guy was gone. Great.

So I spent the rest of the day ploughing down the mountain, half on my ass. I was with two other people. One had snowboarded before and sorta knew what he was doing. The other, a cute girl, did not. Me and her were complete opposites snowboarding-wise. All I could do was plough/wipeout and all she could do was damn-the-torpedoes-full-speed-ahead/wipeout. Haven't tried since because 1) I don't have a board and 2) don't really care to buy one and learn.

Hope it works out for you whiskey. It might be easier if you keep your neck straight up and down...
