Default 2/5 NL at Belterra, IN (Low content)

Warning, brag post to follow. I'm posting this here instead of the NL forums since it's not really a strategy post, I'm just demonstrating how juicy the game there is.

I love this game, I haven't played limit there in two months aside from when I was waiting to get in the NL. I think one reason it's so juicy is that there's no 1/2 or 1/3 game so you get a lot of novices since it's the only NL game they spread. I've won 12 of my last 14 sessions. I realize this is a small sample size but some of the players are so bad it's hard to imagine I'm not a winning player there.

Anyway, I cashed out up $2200 last night. This one hand still has me shaking my head. There was this young Asian player who claimed it was his first time playing ever. He was asking basic questions about how much he can bet, etc. He was playing very aggressively though, which is unusual for a new player and a lot of people at the table were questioning whether this was really his first time playing. He caught a nice run of cards and quickly built his stack up to over $2k. Riding the rush, he tried to run over the table. I took about $200 off him when I called his stone cold bluff on the river with third pair. Then this hand came up. I had $1050, he still had over $2k. I'm BB, he's UTG+1.

Preflop:
The UTG player opens for $20, Villian calls, two more call, Hero calls with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Flop ($100):
8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero leads for $100, UTG folds, Villain raises to $200, everyone else folds, Hero raises $830 more and is all-in. Villian Calls.

When I 3-bet all-in, I figured there was a chance I had the best hand and if not, I had a lot of outs. When he called I figured he flopped the straight or a set and I needed to make my flush. The turn was a blank, river was the 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I turn my hand up and say 'Trip eights any good?' He just sits there for like 20 seconds and I start thinking about how pissed I'm going to be if he's slowing rolling. He finally turns up Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I love this game.
