I would guess (and thats all it is) that the person who studies the 2 + 2 literature and thinks enough of it to post on this site probably has a win rate of about zero.

[/ QUOTE ]

Warren, your guess would be wrong!

"Active" 2+2ers live on the hard right edge in terms of games played/month and win rate.

I was watching a friend play a SNG on party today and saw him bustout as the short stack with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. The opponent had double the number of chips and my friend. A9 got no improvement, but a 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] came on the river.

My friend didn't know I was watching and told me later that he had A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (it wasn't suited), had the other guy covered (other guy had double his chips), hit a 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the flop (not true) and lost to the unlucky 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the river.

The "beauty" of poker is that most people know it's a game of skill and most people win occasionally. Therefore individuals think they can beat the game and chalk all of their losses to bad luck. They not only lie about their losses to others, they lie to themselves.

The human tendency to shovel B.S. is not unique to any one web site or message board.

Classic. I'm going to start telling that story as if it were mine.

The exaggeration slope is a slippery one indeed.

I think anyone who insults all of 2+2 within their first 100 posts should be banned.

Worst thread ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nah, flair's response was good. However, I stopped reading soon afterwards.

Maybe it's the greatest thread ever on 2+2 and I'll just never know...

Thanks flair!

Take care, guys.
