Noob Neteller Question

I have just signed up a Neteller account, always using direct bank withdrawls int eh past. Now for me to deposit into my Neteller account, it wants to charge me a 8.9% fee. It was my understanding that Neteller was free to use. Also, they sent me a small deposit to verify my account, but I don't see anywhere to enter the amount on the website. Whenever I sign in the first page it takes me to asks me to make a deposit.

The link to verify your account wasn't obvious, IIRC...keep looking. 8.9% is for instant deposits. If you do a standard, few business day EFT or electronic check, there isn't a charge, once again IIRC.
