Well here are your playing cards.

I thought I had seen a poker set but was thinking of the South Park Set.

Funny to think about but just not that big a fan to go thru the trouble... cooler designs/themes to be done IMHO.

Fun for mock ups though so post some

What does "nm" mean?

nm = no message... e.g. someone uses the subject line instead of the body, or responds to a post they say the say thing, or to bump a thread

First step would be to get a lawyer and get the neccesary licensing clearance from whomever owns the Simpsons brand.. possibly Fox, otherwise you are just opening yourself up to a huge legal mess with copyright infringement and illegal use of intellectual property.

having worked with several companies that manufactured several licensed brands, including Simpsons, I can tell you that they do not take these things very lightly.

Just a word of warning.

On the other sie, a Simpsons set could bevery cool.

That's absurd. You might have a problem convincing the chip company to print them, but if you can then you'll be fine. You think Fox is gonna care if a self-designed chipset is out in the world?

When I was in middleschool, I used to doodle pictures of Bart Simpson. I never had to do hard time.

Not as absurd as you might think. My sister worked for USAir a few years back. She designed some sweatshirts with their logo on it for the softball team, using a local craft shop to make them. The craft shop got fined for copyright infringement, my sister got fired... YMMV

Yea, the problem comes when Company X (say chip company) makes money off of a copyrighted logo etc (selling chips), same as the USair example.

Fox had (still does) a huge problem with websites where you can download simpsons shows. They've shut several down in the past.

That is either made up or you are leaving something out.

"fined" for copyright infringment? By who? And USAir is now firing employees for making sweatshirts for a softball team?

Something doesn't smell right, there.

Having said that, I would think you would probably have a hard time getting a chip company to make those chips. Your best bet is to get some Nexgens and find a good label maker (there are some good ones here) who will print these for you. I don't think they would have a problem with the copyright.

This could work! I say the characters should be:
The OJ chip, the Nicole chip, the Jessica chip and the Ashlee chip....
