What did you think the flop raise meant?

Check the flop to see what develops. I'd call a relatively small bet, but fold if it's more than about t60 back to you. The odds of me check-folding this flop are pretty high here...if there's much action at all I am gone.

If you're still there on the turn I'd probably push or checkraise all-in.

If you're suggesting that from a flop min-raise you can put Villain squarely on J9, your post is asinine. Also note that our Hero has an 6-out open end striaght draw to the nuts (and two more dirty outs, namely the Ac and 9c.)

Check the flop, or bet less. You're behind more often than ahead, and if the limper has 88 he won't often bluff this board.

When you bet the turn and get minraised again, why do you think pushing is a good idea?

Yeah - I kinda thought this was a mistake afterwards.

To be brutally honest... it may have been a slight tilt play! I've had a bad few days!! I figured I'd be left with about 300T if I called and lost the hand..which is still enough to play with at this level, but I acted to rash and pushed. Would a call have been better then? I also now hoped the board would pair.

There are so many hands that you don't really want to be playing against on this board. AJ, KQ, KT, QT, AK, AQ and Kx of clubs. He could also have just have ax of clubs for the gutshot and flush draws. Do you really want to be playing this hand with 2nd pair and no clubs?

Not at all, It just seemed that the turn action (particularly the all in) was a bit reckless.
You need to be at least considering what the villain might have, and I was interested in whether this had been done or not.
