Jeff Bagwell
The guy looks horrible at the plate. He doesn't have the swing where he can be effcetive playing at 80%. Houston must bench him to have a chance to win this series.

Re: Jeff Bagwell
Why are they playing him? Out of sympathy?

Imagine if Bagwell threw the series.

Re: Jeff Bagwell
Bags has gotten a few key pinch hits for us down the stretch and in the first round of the playoffs. He doesn't have the power right now but he can be a good contact hitter.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, because him getting hit by two pitches, and striking out against constant 100 mph heat is enough sample for you to determine all of this. I was actually encouraged by seeing him make contact on a 99 mph fastball up and away from Jenks. Ensberg should be benched before Baggy. I'd bench Ensberg, move Lamb to third, Berkman to first and start Burke in LF before benching Baggy right now. |
