Default Baseball card collectors question

For recent collectors

What is the best set for Rookies in the 2002 year. I want to get a Jeff Francis card but dont know whats what and there seems to be lots of options. Is there one set that is the hottest from that year?

Thanks

Glancing at eBay, I think it's probably this one.

Bowman Chrome is basically a solid rookie card for anyone from 1997-present.

I was thinking something with a serial number would be better.

But im worried it will be in his rookie year but not technically a rookie card. I want to be sure its his rookie card.

Nolan hit it on the nose... one of the best rookie cards to get is always Bowman Chrome, and if there's an auto, even better... and if it's a refracter auto, then it's the nutz. Xfracter auto's are even more rare but I've never seen a big interest for them.

If Bowman Chrome made a card of him in 2002, then that is his "rookie" year as far as cards are concerned. They're always one of the first to put out cards of youngins.
