How fast is this blind structure?
Played in a 4 table tournament this week. It was a low buy in tournament, $35 for (T1500), plus one $30 rebuy (T2500). The blinds did seem to escalate a little too quick in the middle portion of the tournament (even if it was a small tournament). We went from 2 tables to one in less then half an hour and even the big stacks were being threatened by the blinds at the final table. Here is the structure, (each level lasted 15 minutes):
Blinds 25-50 50-100 100-200 200-400 300-600 400-500 500-1000 1000-2000 2000-4000 3000-6000 4000-8000 5000-10000 I would appreciate any thoughts on how fast this structure is compared to other low buyin tournaments. I think I had the chance to see maybe 2 flops. I was forced to do a lot of push or fold preflop because even thought I had an average to big stack, I rarely had more then 10 bb's. |

Re: How fast is this blind structure?
I'm assuming this is a live tourney? If so, it's a crapshoot at best

Re: How fast is this blind structure?
Wow. Why do they escalate so fast, going from 25-50 to 50-100 and 100-200? Also the starting blinds are pretty bad. I would hate to play with 30BBs starting out. I prefer to be a lot deeper when starting out AT LEAST 50BB (that would be the bare minimum for me to consider playing the tournament)
