Default getting tricky with rockets

Villain in this hand is 30/12 with decent post flop agression. I decided to take a chance here and not reraise..I was hoping the blinds would fold leaving me headsup. The SB comes along for the ride. How do you like it?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

SB ($44.30)
BB ($56)
UTG ($63.77)
Hero ($56.10)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG raises to $2, Hero calls $2, SB (poster) calls $1.75, 1 fold.

Flop: ($6.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $5, Hero calls $5, SB calls $5.

Turn: ($21.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $8, Hero raises to $20, SB folds, UTG calls $12.

River: ($61.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero calls $29.10 (All-In), UTG calls $29.10.

Final Pot: $119.70

i'd be concerned if SB called ur 20$, but either way nice work. i've had horrible luck with that maneuver.

I prefer to raise pre-flop, but if you feel the need to add deception, so be it. You have to raise that flop. No way do you want SB sticking around to catch some miracle draw. Pot it on the turn and all-in on river.

I make this play very, very rarely and usually seems to work out well if villian is the right type. Not recommended unless you can fold them yourself

He turn over something like QK?

Yeah if I got called by SB I was going to be very frightened.....other than that I was fairly confident I was ahead of primary villain given his raising frequency...if he sucked out with QQ oh well...that was my thinking when raising to $20 on the turn.

Paid off...villain called with AQ and I drag a nice pot. I think this play can work ok post flop if you can define the hand villain has pretty easy because they are a tight raiser, and you have the ability to fold the rockets if things start looking bad.

I will probably reraise preflop. If not, I am raising the flop 99% of the time. This is 50 NL I assume? Most players at these stakes will go to the felt with AQ here anyway...no need to get tricky IMO.
