Default post from another board

I gotta ask this just becuase it's tilted me so bad. But what are the chances of losing 6 straight times with AA? The hands I lost to were K/K, 7/7, J/7off, A/9off, 2/5 diamonds, and 7/8 hearts. Losing an 85% favorite six times in a row needs to be some pretty incredible odds. (Note : Obviously, these were not consecutive hands, but over the span of a month.)

AA vs KK is 19% to lose
AA vs 77 is 20% to lose
AA vs J7o is 14% to lose
AA vs A9o is 6% to lose
AA vs 25s is 18% to lose
AA vs 78s is 22% to lose

This is assuming all in preflop, which is probably not the case with all of these hands.

So for aces to lose with all of those hands, multiply the chances of it happening each time together.

.19 * .20 * .14 * .06 * .18 * .22 = .001%

Similarly, knowing when to fold aces means losing big money with them about .001% of the time.

Download pokerstove and dont get married to aces.

EDIT: oh and ps, the J7o and A9o are the only hands you were at least 85% favored in, so its not even as bad as you think.

Heh I've gone 0-12 on flopped sets in one stretch.

You play enough poker it's going to happen.
