I would imagine that Jleno has a very good case to recover the value of the seat from Party, who would not like to draw attention to the fact that many players are underage using others accounts. I would write them a kind letter from a lawyer. It's best for everyone if this just goes away.

No, but its indicitive of a whole class of players who are the concern of moral activists against poker online, who happen to be under 21, not allowed to play in many casinos but able to play online.

I'm fairly certain that the reason why many casinos have an age limit of 21 is because of alcohol, not gambling, so I'm not sure I understand your point.

Yep, it's the alcohol.. which is why it's 18+ at certain casinos.

As a lawyer, I would imagine that he has a pretty crappy case, although it seldom hurts to write a letter. If you hit a jackpot at the slots in Vegas when you're underage, I have a pretty good idea what the outcome is, even if you tell them "it's best for everyone if I don't expose the fact that underage people sometimes play your slots."

A major threat to the online poker industry is the banning of online gaming in the United States.

Some proponents of the ban point to persons under 21 having access to gambling that would otherwise be unavailable to them.

This segment of the poker population represents substantial income for online poker sites. The inevitable result of eventual regulation will be the banning of some age group.

This definitely isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened...weren't there like 10 WSOP online qualifiers this year who were under 21?

Bad comparison.

Slot machines are clearly defined by the law. Gambling online is not clearly defined, and allowing a person inelligible by age to win a prize to "knowingly" allow them to compete for this prize, is a whole topic that someone in media relations would much rather not have.
