Does it seem like this summer...
has just been a parade of hits for our country?
Seriously...from the continuing slog in Iraq, to the decision in Kelo, to the gas prices rocketing up, to the devastation of one of our major cities and semi-major areas(Biloxi/Gulfport), capping off with the death of our longtime Chief Justice...doesn't it seem like things are getting worse? I'm not trying to be a doomsayer or a pessimist...but seriously...it is beginning to seem like normal life is more and more becoming farcical...I dunno...I just feel a growing sense of unease about the way things are going here. |

Re: Does it seem like this summer...
Am I a little sick for wanting news of this sort (if not of this magnitude) as opposed to the Michael Jackson trial and the missing girl in Aruba?

Re: Does it seem like this summer...
I think I'd prefer that events like this don't happen, but I know what you mean. I'm so sick of the typical news stories that we've been getting.

the illusion of security is by no means a promise

Re: Does it seem like this summer...
The last five years have been nothing but a series of hits. I see no solutions being implemented irregardless of political change.
America will plod aimlessly through the next 10-20 years until it is sunk under a pile of debt and other problems. The best years of our country are behind us. |
