Had you thought about what you'd do if you were re-raised? It's not a good position to be in. I think you need to make a bigger raise here, which (unfortunately) probably means pushing pre-flop. (Harrington suggests increasing your SB raise because you are going to be out of position for the rest of the hand, so you need to end the hand PF.) If you're not willing to do that, I don't think it would be a crime to fold pre-flop, or complete to see if he's willing to let you see a flop for 5% of your chips.
The re-raise puts you is real trouble. He's not going to fold if you push, and if you don't fold here, you know your chips are all going in the middle on the flop, whatever comes. In the end you end up doing some sort of convoluted stop & go, which is not the worst play on earth. It's not a bad flop for you. He may fold any hand that doesn't include a Q, A, or two hearts. Obviously he had one of these... |
