Am I really improving, or just running good?
In order to be qualified for the Billionth hand at PokerStars, I sat down at the 1/2 tables to earn 10 FPP.
For 29 hands, here are my PT stats: 24.14 VPIP 10.34% PRF Up $33. 56.47 BB/100. This was in order to get in time for the 989,000,000th hand. Is PStars really this soft? Every has said how much rockier it was than Party and others. Can it be beaten for 56 BB/100 over the next 11 million hands? Seems pretty fishy over there... |

Re: Am I really improving, or just running good?
Stars is usually notorious for tightness. The billionth hand thing has tables playing stupid. As soon as the bonus hand passes things are back to normal, and the place clears out.
I'll leave the stat analysis to the regulars, and um . . . keep a stiff upper lip |

Can it be beaten for 56 BB/100 over the next 11 million hands? Absolutely. I recommend you you start 16 tabling 1/2 on 4 screens trying to get in 6000 hands a day so you can clear a million in a year. |

Re: Am I really improving, or just running good?
Your sample size is close but not quite big enough. I say about 5 more hands should do it.

What is the prize for the 1 Bil hand played? Like 100K?

Re: Am I really improving, or just running good?
50K to the winner of the hand.
Something like $1,500 to those dealt in. |

Re: Am I really improving, or just running good?
$500 to every player dealt into every 10 millionth hand . . . 890,000,000 900,000,000 910,000,000 and so on
Winners get entry into a private tourney 1,000,000,000 hand is 5k to each and 50k to winner i believe. |

Re: Am I really improving, or just running good?
Wow,
It's clear after 29 hands you are well into the "long run". I still remember the improvement and growth my game saw from hands 10-17, and then another quantum jump from 18-26. I saw a serious downturn from 27-33, as I had to pay the blinds, and didn't even get to play a hand! But after hands 34-44, I knew I had arrived as a premiere player, having won a pot, and showing +5.5/100 BB profits... Since then, I've quit my job, and played another 124 hands, winning 2BB. Life is good as a long term pro... |
