so never fold when the pot has 14 bets in it and you have top pair? This is the first time I had played with this guy, u think he doesn't have a monster? IMO he led he flop with 2 pair/set, but apparently not - this should be an easy call? Doesn't AJ/AQ play faster preflop and not cr the river after the turn.

You defintely call this for one bet. You'd would have to be psychic to know to fold here getting 14-1. Let me guess, he turns over AT for the 3 outer?

is there any need to hand read or does the pot size dictate a call irrespective? waiting until the turn is cool?

When the pot gets huge alot of the time your decisions are slave to that fact.

I rase the flop against this guy once you get a caller in between. A standard fish and I really like waiting till the turn to raise, but against a guy who is likely good, His play is consitent with monster, weak made hand(medium PP), or draw. That last 2 he isnt going to bet again on the turn after you call, and the first one is cheaper on you to raise the flop with.
