If you think that your Kings are good against his range of hands, I think you should get it all in pre-flop. If he holds A-K, you're not getting another dime out of him on a non-A or K flop. If he's holding Queens, an A or K on the flop will kill your action. Same if he's holding Jacks.

Call this unless the guy is a total rock. I had the same situation happen last night twice on Pokerstars and it was AK that called. Heads-up in this situation I'm pushing with KK every day and twice on Sunday.

You must not watch a lot of TV, don't you know that AK is the best hand to have pre-flop

[ QUOTE ]
So you are basically saying that he is reraising the pot with AK??

If I am scared of aces pf why will I be happy to see no ace on the flop?

[/ QUOTE ]
I'm thinking his range of hands is AA, KK, QQ, maybe JJ, and AKs/AKo. Only AA is ahead of you, and AK only becomes a problem if an A comes on the board which will happen 1 in 6 times on the flop if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, I think pushing preflop is the best move. A "slightly loose" player will definitely call a push with QQ, and usually with JJ and AK as well. Although JJ is the least likely, you can't rule out QQ or AK here.

you're probably right, but I personally wouldn't reraise here with QQ or AK. the first raise was strong, and the second was just massive. Facing a raise and a reraise, I'm afraid putting the first player on AQ/AK or 99-AA, and the second player on QQ-AA or AK. In this situation, I'm only going to reraise with KK or AA.

what it boils down to is that OP is asking the standard preflop 3 betting range at crypto .5/1 NL games.

I'm sure he knows how rare KK vs AA happens.

I'm not sure this is a question we have an answer for unless one of us has played a lot on crypto.

I will say that limp 3 bet thats not all in is fairly scary.

I would be more willing to call this if it was a push and also if we didn't all have much more than max buyin.

I agree amoeba, although it was PL. As you mention, we were all in profit, way over the buy in and I had personally doubled up within 60 minutes so I didnt want to lose it all on a gamble, especially as I was soon leaving. Although im guessing i really shouldnt let that effect my choice.

Im wondering how many people are willing to lay KK down to big action pf (in the conditions i mentioned in my first post) ive read some questionable replies along with people willing to gamble but for the thinking player (a lot of those replies as well) hasnt this got to be laid down 90%+ of the time? (in standard conditions)
