Default KQ against a Maniac

SB has VP$IP of 88 after 33 hands and is very agressive.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">7 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, SB calls.

Flop: (9 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB calls.

Turn: (6.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero ...?</font>

Do I take the free card, or do i keep betting? What am I doing on the river if i'm raised?

Sorry, couldn't resist. If part of your justification for calling a turn raise with king high is that your hand is good, then you must call the river. If you think that you are very likely behind on the turn if raised, then fold.

I would fold to a turn check-raise against 99%. But you said he was a maniac, so maybe okay, but then call the river of course.

The fact that you have to ask is an argument for checking.

Betting accomplishes very little here. The maniac will not fold, you have no reason to put money into the pot, and most importantly it leaves you open for a check-raise. Take the free card.
