I hope you're under 18 as well, or else the American education system has truly failed us.

Get a life. If anyone responds further to this, that person is really a "looser".

[/ QUOTE ]

As opposed to being a "tighter", I assume?

what sort of object is a "looser"? is it a type of animal? you've used it as a noun, so it has to be something, right?

My favorite was the Mr Pryor's English degree reference. Maybe you should check out Elements of Style or Borzoi's Handbook. You did not get it either, and you are a filmmaker?

[/ QUOTE ]

what didn't i get? that you can't spell or that you can't form a coherent sentence? i got both just fine.

i think you're my new favorite poster. either that, or this is a joke account. ok, who is it? fess up.

Wow I made that number up. For Jeff A: what game is luckier than HE?

[/ QUOTE ]

7 card stud (with a high ante relative to the betting) and Omaha Hi both have a much higher standard deviation than HoldEm. Since you're a "research scientist", I hope you understand what I've just said and why it's relevant. If not, well...

You guys are getting sharper:
MDECK…every picture tells a story
UPPERCUT…you got it
PRYOR…getting there, actually you got it too
JEFFA…You are correct to a point. Please explain standard deviation to us.

Nothing about this poster's posts (in other threads) suggests to me that it's a joke account. To me, it looks like Yet Another Arrogant Newbie. The poor English suggests to me either a poorly-educated or young person, which doesn't necessarily mean stupid, but does correlate strongly with ignorance.

Generally the ignorant do not think they are ignorant. I don't mean "stupid" -- I mean those than know little about a particular problem domain. Ratso demonstrates little knowledge about poker, and worse he implies that he thinks of himself as very knowledgeable. He doesn't recognize the complexity and depth of the game.

Solution: I'm going to ignore him. It's gonna take quite a bit for him to become a worthwhile poster.

For Ratso: I don't know how old you are, but I hope it's young. Eventually you'll understand that the world is bigger than you, and that some of us do actually know what we're talking about.

Why do people keep replying to this thread and bumping it up? The guy's a douche and he's just trying to get more replies out of you. Stop feeding him.

This should be the last post in this retarded thread. Unless ratso decides to post a few more gems of ignorance.

I am young, a newbie, ignorant, and I rite poorly. I give up. I agree that poker is a complex game. I also belive that few can earn 3 big bets per hour in limit HE or Stud considering expenses, rake etc. I track my hours, my winnings and losses and the types and stakes. If you do track your performance honestly, is 3 big bets/hr in limit games easy? I play mostly 10/20 HE and some stud. I run about $14/hr over 3 years in live poker. Remember this all started because I said there is a lot of luck in HE, and many were insulted. I do not know why. My apologies for offending anyone, but actually I caught more hell that I gave, and I can take it. So, I wish you all Aces in the hole, as I turn over a new leaf and get edjukated.
You have the last word.
