If you're not trolling, you really need to get a copy of Small Stakes Hold 'Em by Ed Miller.

Well, Mr Pryor, I suppose I do not yet know "what beats" in Holdem. Is it different from other forms of poker? Does "a royal straight flush in spades" be the best hand? Does 3 pair beats 2 higher pair? It does in Canada.

[/ QUOTE ]

are you sure you don't have an English degree? Because your command of the English language is just stunning.

[ QUOTE ]
I love the new breed of Holdem Players; ya know they wear cute sayings on their tee shirts, and they have hats that say "Full Tilt Poker" which they wear turned sideways.

[/ QUOTE ]

so do i. they pay my rent.

Interesting. Here in the US in Hold Em a royal flush of spades is no better and no worse than any other royal flush. I suppose its lucky that in Hold Em only one person at a time can make a royal flush, or you might lose a lot of money some day not being aware of this significant difference between the US and Canada.

I am assuming that most of you all play live poker. Or, are most of you the "underwear" set playing multi games in front of your 22 inch flat screen eating a big sandwich drinking a big gulp?

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmm, I eat all kinds of food in front of the computer. I don't think my sandwiches are particularly big, although I frequently have two. I must admit I've never had a big gulp while playing poker. Is there some Canadian significance to these comestibles that I am unware of?

Oh, and yes, so far I have always worn underwear when I play online. I just don't like the feel of my jeans without the underwear between them and my skin. Is this unusual in Canada?

is my humble opinion that Holdem Poker (at least pre-flop, no limit) is well over 75% pure LUCK.

[/ QUOTE ]

Considering that 4 to 1 is about the biggest regularly ocurring edge you can get it could appear that way to someone with little understanding about probability. But someone with a decent understanding of probability would see that single street NL would be pretty easy to beat if you were playing donkeys.

[/ QUOTE ]

Single street...does PF count as a street? Do you see a flop?

I think most of you simply did not get any of my meaning. Actually only 1 person seemed to understand what I was doing. Some of you were so far off the mark that I just had to laugh, especially when I say the photograph. You guys take yourselves much too seriously. Live a little. Get out from behind ypour computers and go outside in the sun. I cannot believe that over 800 people looked at my post and 4 pages of stiffs actually responded. Get a life. If anyone responds further to this, that person is really a looser. My favorite was the Mr Pryor's English degree reference. Maybe you should check out Elements of Style or Borzoi's Handbook. You did not get it either, and you are a filmmaker?

You finally got it....no response. Remember, sometimes no one can tell how stupid you are if you never speak (write, talk, moan etc.)Spend more tim playing and less criticizing others.

My only hope is that all of you are 16 or younger. If any of you are over 18, you need help!
