I'm putting in an additional bet on the turn, but I don't know if I should be checkraising and calling a possible 3 back, or perhaps a stop-n-go.

I think I'd raise the turn and go into call-down mode if 3-bet.

Any reads???
Preflop and flop are good. Call the turn. If you don't fill up on the river still call down if he bets.

A turn raise is fine option.

I'd call the turn, too, to see the next card as cheaply as possible. You have 10 outs to a boat or better. You may have your opp beat (2 pair) or he may have flopped the straight. He may also just have a large overpair, especially having bet the way he did pre-flop and flop. It would be very helpful to know more about your opp, especially since you describe him as "respected."

If you don't improve with the next card I'd check and call. No way you want to be folding, as you may have the best hand.

Why did you check the turn? Do you have a read?

The man did raise preflop. He has shown proper aggression thus far, not a lot of bluffing. I can't put him on the straight or two pair at that point because he wouldn't have raised under the gun.

At this point, I have to think overpair right? I guess the only other possibility wouild be set of 8s or 7s, which is also unlikely.

I think I like his play here if he's checkraising and calling down if 3-bet.

TT/JJ are possibilities too. Until he bet the turn, I think AK/AQh might be viable options, but are probably less likely since he bet out on the turn. But yeah, I think putting him on two pair/flopped straight is kind of nuts given that he raised UTG. Most respected TAG's aren't raising JTs UTG most of the time. Hence, I like raising the turn and calling down a 3-bet.
