Default My first 10/20 session

I am a small stake player (playing 0.5/1) and yesterday I brainfarted and sat down at a 2k game. Hands are taken by memory since my "playcheck" thingy dont seem to work.

How did I play? fish/donkey/Ivey?

I sit down with 1k villian covers. (First hand for the session) No reads.

Villian makes it 80 I call on BB with Q9.
Flop comes QJ7 rainbow. I lead for 140 he calls

Turn Blank, I make it 300 he calls.

River is anouther blank I push for my last 400 or somthing.

#2 Same guy raises my blind for 80 and I call with 109o
Flop comes 1098 rainbow. I lead for 140 and he pushes for 600 more. I call.

#3 3 limpers to me in BB and I check with 49s[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Flop comes 356 two [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I liead for 60, UTG makes it 180, button calls, SB calls, Hero calls.

Turn comes a black 6 Checked around.

River is a 7 of diomonds Hero checks Utg makes it 400 button raises to 1200 SB folds I fold. (not a big laydown but was wondering about if I could have played it diffrantly)

#4 Villian in this hand is somewhat table captain. He has pushed me arround abit since I dont want to get in that deep with most of the hands.

Villian raises to 80, I call with K8 of diamonds. Flop comes K92 two diamonds, I lead for 100 he calls.

Turn is J of diamonds and I check (thats bad right?) he checks

River comes Blank and I make it 200, he calls.

I am sure some will laugh but then humor will be my contribution. Thanks and take care

I don't really get it, usually when I play over my head I get really tight and nut hunt. It seems like you did the exact opposite.

Hand 3 looks like theres 680ish in the pot when the action gets back to you on the flop. Assuming your stack of 1000 (so 920 left) and the fact that you're oop, my initial inclination is to push, although the A high flush draw is now going to have odds to call your push. Seems like you're just gonna lose a big pot if you hit, I like folding and waiting for a better spot, but if that's not your style...

1. Fold preflop.
2. I like.
3. I like.
4. I would bet the turn. (What if he has a set or AK or anything then another diamond comes on the river, you don't make any money)

how can you like calling with T9 offsuit preflop, especially when you have no roll for the game.

When you're shortstacked and playing way above your head, it's probably not the best idea to call with marginal hands preflop. Save that for when you have a big roll and better reads on players.

I went in to this session with my mind set on that I didnt have this 1000 dollars any more. So this grand was allready lost to me, its not a tilt thing I just ...wanted to try new waters.

My loosness preflop is debateble...but after reading here a guy could have about anything at anytime in this game and based on that principl I adjusted my range of hands.

Yea, When it got back to me I had SB on flush draw, and UTG on set ...a push would probobly be the correct move but since this was deep for me I just called...which was stupid, should have pushed or folded.

for someone who plays 50 cent 1 dollar no limit, you played these hands exceptionally well. Sure, the Q9 and T9 u could have folded preflop but your postflop play was excellent. You probably should have bet the turn with the king high flush although going for the CR isn't that bad.

This river push is pretty bad IMO. You don't have enough to push him off of anything that beats you, so it's gotta be a value bet. But what hand that you beat is calling here? Q2? Only hands I can think of are TT or JJ.
If this is a bluff, it's a bad one. If it's a value bet, it's a bad one.
