what\'s the best way to convey a non poker story you got from 2+2?
from time to time i find myself imparting non poker data i read on this site. i feel like such a tool each time. i find myself starting off with:
i heard the other day... i read the other day that... someone on a poker website said... anyone ever experience this phenomenon? especially funny when someone questions my source.

holy crap yes... one time I actually started with ..."so some guys I know on the internet".... needless to say, not the brightest way to go about it.

[/ QUOTE ] I had to break down and tell my friends; theres just too many funny things worth repeating (they really got a kick out of commodus) it was awkward at first..usually go's like this... "so yeah I post on a poker message board a lot during the day...yeah, no, not about poker, about fast food, music and the best way to hide a dead hooker, that sort of thing."

I don't know, it seems that at this point internet message boards are enough mainstream that I just say "I read something on a messageboard..." whenever talking about stuff I found at OOT. I've said it this way to lots and lots of people, no one even bats an eye about it.

yah, message boards are popular these days, just mention you read it in a message board and i guarentee the other party will nod and understand.
