Default Hand protection?

I think I messed this flop up. The Button has been raising a lot PF and has been playing aroun 40% Pf. He is constantly overplaying hands. MP2 is a LPP for sure. I did not think I could protect my hand by betting out on the flop, so I was looking for a c/r on the turn if everything looked o.k.. But once the button raised, I did not feel comfortable with a call, and I did not think it was time to fold this hand. I though the re-raise might fold out MP2. Was this alright or REALLY stupid.

Default Re: Hand protection?

I think it's fine.

Edit: I just read your intro more carefully.

If things had gone the way you expected on the flop, I think you should just checkraise immediately. I don't like waiting for the turn. Among other things, Button may not bet again. And if the wrong card falls (whatever that might be), it might be too late to checkraise on the turn anyway.
