back on track:

i have put much thought and research into the trophies and awards that will go along with the cash prizes. i hope there is enough interest and support, as this should be pretty sweet.

there is even a slight chance of some interesting play and analysis amongst what will be a deluge of trash-talking.

If you're making the buy-in $1k, I'm in. I can afford to lose that much.

the strat is of course different and different skill sets are needed in both. but i think that if you spoke with many players well versed in both fast tourneys and deep cash games, they would tell you that the skills needed for the latter can be much more complicated and in depth.

[/ QUOTE ]

ok now im irritated. i never said anything about how sngs or whatever were harder. sngs are probably the easiest form of pokre there is, bar none, far and away. that is why people can 20 table them. because they are in fact checkers. i know that NL cash or even limit are much more complicated games. im not disputing that. christ.

i duno if anyone brought this up yet, but in the stt forum we recently had a $500 buyin that got 16 people out to vegas for a double elimination HU tourney. was a lot of fun. were doing another one sometime in february, with 32 people. there should be a few spots open, so if anyones interested post up on the stt forum. holla

[/ QUOTE ]

this tourney is for people who play real poker and don't have gay escalating blinds. holla.

[/ QUOTE ]

What is gay about escalating blinds?

I agree though thats not real poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

im so very confused on why escalating blinds equates to 'fake' poker. ill play ring or tournament, i dont really care, but its still poker. tournaments require a different strategy than cash games. learn to adjust, its really not that hard. really. holla

[/ QUOTE ]

uh, it is the people who play with escalating blinds who will have trouble adjusting, not the other way around.

[/ QUOTE ]

sigh, again, i play both, and im not the one complaining. thanks for clearing things up though. holla

I've got AdamBragar but on 2 conditions:

1) we play live

2) we both chug a beer after every 10 hands

then why be a gaylord and argue semantics?

clearly by "not real poker" he means not as skill-intensive of a game as deep big bet.

and another analogy as it seems to be effective on illuminating the ignorant: some chud that races RC cars talking to someone who races actual cars.

RC driver: "yeah buddy i race cars too."

Nascar guy: "yeah...but you race RC cars...not quite the same. or even close"

RC driver: "whatever dude. i 'RACE CARS', same thing. how is it not real racing?"

nascar guy: "ok... (explains how there isn't much comparison)..."

rc guy: "didn't say it wasn't harder. i am not very educated. holla."

enlighten me on how i am 'ignorant'

also, what the HELL is your deal? i called no one out. i did not try to say that sngs were harder than NL ring. ever. they arent. NL ring is about 100x more deep than sngs. i could teach my braindead sister to beat the 55s 10 tabling in under 2 hours. i never called you out, have no idea who you are, and have come to the conclusion you are so sad in life that you have nothing better to do than randomly talk crap to someone you dont even know. so, i ask, wtf is yer problem. holla
