25+5 or 25+2? If it's 25+5 now and they still charge for rebuys, don't ever play it again.

Anyway, you have three problems: Empire players love minraising monsters for no apparent reason, you have no FE, and a push is unquestionably -$EV (I wrote a thread about this a couple of days back). I think it adds up to seeing a flop.

Hero stop n goes pushing a non-ace flop.

Hero cannot make mongo stack fold BTF (villain gets ~2:1 and has plenty of chips to gamble). Hero doesn't want to give up his FE, so he pushes ATF.

I feel like your only option is to call. You're going to get called if you raise which isn't what you want, and you really can't fold. See the flop, if you hit it most likely you double up, and if you miss you have enough chips to get away from it.

I like the stop and go here too, although don't discount the FE of a push. If the big stack is a strong player, he may just trying to pick up cheap pots on the bubble since he knows people will be afraid of him. Even getting 2:1 he might fold if his hand is really terrible.

Worst case scenario of a stop-and-go here is that he catches a random piece of the board that puts him ahead (and he would have folded if you pushed). But if you're ahead you're only giving him 3 of 5 cards so I think that's probably your best line. I don't think pushing is as unsavory as most people do, though.

Noob here. What does 'stop and go' mean? does it mean call the raise to see the flop, then call big if you hit, Check-fold if you dont?

The answer depends abit on how bad you want to "just" get into the money of if you want to go for the bigger money.

If you "just" want to get into the money, the fold might be an option...

It is likely the villain is playing the bubble and pushing around small-stacks. In that case you will be a favorite to double up. The only real hands to which you are a real dog are AA, AK and AQ. KK, QQ, JJ are no good for you either. Otherwise you have a fair chance. I think you will have to take it. Push all-in is the only option. Villain will call you any how after the flop, and if you lay down now or call and laydown you will ha a severly crippled stack.Even more than it already is, and you will have to make a move within short anyway, probably woth a worse hand than you have now. Double up now and you might be a contender again, double up when your stack is 3-4000, and you are still in trouble, as the blinds grow. So push it and hope for a call.

It means call the raise, and then go all-in on the flop, regardless of what it is, excepting the rare cases you flop a hand so good you want a call.

It's a way to generate folding equity where previously none was thought to be had.
