I would usually lead out here, I really couldn't tell you why I didn't. But considering that I did make that mistake, I couldn't really justify calling 5$ out of position, is that weak play? Should I have tried to outplay him depending on the turn card?

Didn't El D go through a phase of posting like this about 6 months back?

Oh yeah, I lead the flop, but I lead from the blinds with all sorts of stuff.

Given a limited passive read, would this be an opportunity to check-raise as a semi-bluff? Treating Aces as outs, you have about 45% pot equity and a shot to take down the pot. If he calls, your check-raise on the flop might let you check through to the river.

Kinda new to the game - so, apologies if this suggestion is nutty...

WTF? I am chemically enhanced right now , but do you not have implied, if not quite pot, odds to bust villain? How can you ever fold this?!?!!!!?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!?!?

Apologies if i totally misread the hand after 3 rereads, which IMM is doubtful

I'm a little confused here. You have a sufficient stack in front of you that losing 5-15 dollars wouldn't be the end of the world. But still, I'm a little confused as to how anyone could advocate folding here- you've flopped an ace-high four flush here with two cards left to go. I can't imagine folding here.

It seems like he's worried about the flush and might shut down if another heart hits the board, kiling your implied odds.

That's what I was thinking. Villain has been showing a lot of weak-tight play. I certainly wasn't getting the pot odds, and I didn't expect villain to pay me off if my flush did hit.

Let's just say if I were villian and you called my flop bet, I'd put you on a flush draw 90% and OESD 10%.
