You said you had a computer put your bankroll online, and play 4 games of 1/2 or .5/1. If you get rake back, and put in rediculous hours you might have a chance.
Forget playing live. You can't beat the rake, tips and expenses.

this post makes me really really really glad that i have a real job. i cannot imagine that this could possibly be someones idea they have thought up. if you get a job, you can get a bankroll like 10 times faster assuming you have a near minimum wage job and your risk of ruin isnt ~60% like i imagine playing 2/4 with a 700 dollar roll in a live game anticipating no hidden expenses would be. seriously, worst plan ever.

OP, in all honesty, $1 an hour is all you can make 2/4 in a casino, and it's well worth it to get a job elsewhere, build up enough money to buy a computer and some poker theory books, deposit $100 (or better yet, use instant bankroll and get the money for free, which is what I did) and go from there.

This isn't a joke/troll post, so no need to worry about being fooled. I'm not that smart ("obviously", you guys will say [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]).

I have put some money online, so I guess I'll make money there. However, online play is much more boring. I can barely put in a couple hours before I want to quit. In live play, I can go long sessions, and it's fun! My guess is that the 2/4 is beatable for more than $1/hr. Even with the rake, I'd guess it's beatable for at least 1.5BB/hr. So far, it has been for me (yes, it's a small sample size that will come tumbling down). I wish someone else kept records, but I guess most people who play 2/4 don't take it seriously enough to track themselves. If so, please PM me.

I glad it is a troll post. I was semi-trolling in my responses but I am serious that if you find yourself in a posistion where you have nothing to lose, you might as well take a shot at anything you want.

What a relief, as an AC 2/4 pro, I was sweating the competition, both for the money and for that last bed at the salvation army.

I was making a solid go of it at a buck an hour, but with a real hustler coming into my game, I was picturing that income plummeting down to a barely livable 97 cents. I shiver thinking about it, I enjoy eating my bowls of dry grits 4 times a day, and don't want my lifestyle destroyed.
