Default River play with QTo

Hi

I never play 6max games, and this is why. What do I do on the river?

villian in the CO seems to be a solid tag who is capable of being aggessive. he's the only one who knows how to play poker. others are far too loose far too passive idiots.

Party Poker

I am UTG with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I raise. MP cold calls. CO=villian 3-bets. SB folds. BB calls 2. I call. MP calls.

FLOP - 4 people, 12sb. T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB checks, I check, MP checks, CO bets, BB calls, I raise, MP calls, CO calls, BB calls.

TURN 4 people 10BB 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB checks. I bet. MP folds. CO calls. BB folds.

RIVER 2 people 12BB A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I kill myself?

Hey dude.

This is a pf fold.

i'd probably bet out on the flop as well.

Probably bet/fold the river.

If villain is capable of bluff-raising, I c/c this river. If you don't think he is, I'd b/f. And this is a fold pf.

hi
why is this a fold pf?
(other than we have an aggressive player yet to act, or is that it)

i've been known to open raise QTo at full tables of idiots when first in from MP. i'm not saying it's standard, but it does sometimes happen.

QTo utg == doodoo

I bet flop/turn; river? I'd likely c-c tag (smaller pot I'd probably b-f)...

I am folding it pf because it is dominated by almost every hand that would call it. I *might* raise it if the table was completely full of very tight and weak players.

Besides it being just a plain crap hand utg to begin with (where are you going to go with a dominated gapped offsuit hand in lousy position?), IMO it's because of the mindset in 6m; EVERYBODY plays Ax; everybody plays aggressively; I don't have big-time skills and the last thing I want is somebody (or two) playing at my QTo with little flop help; or even worse, enough flop help to coax me into staying a cpl streets. IMO it just isn't worth it...

Fold PF. River, I don't mind a bet/fold. I think he may have 77/88 here often, as Ax is going to fold this turn a lot.

QTo is a pretty weak hand. If it was suited, and the table was really weak/tight, I may raise.

Also, utg is way too early for this hand, even 6max. QTs is definately better.

Preflop: raise it first, fold if you're getting coldcalled to death.

Flop: Checkraise with what very well could be the best hand. Get these guys to fold all the Js, Ks and As having only seen one more card rather than 2.

River: Openfold, you're toast. Seriously, check/folding is probably smartest (he won't bluff with 88 very often). But I would usually just bet/fold this river card; it's probably better for future hands to bet.
