T.J. cloutier has stated before the first stud tournament he ever played he won or finished very high. I think he said he won it.

[/ QUOTE ]

May be true, but TJ is an old timer who definately already knew how to play stud.

Kirill Stays Alive
Log: Kirill is very short stacked at the start of this hand. Both men limp.

Bax shows: 6h-2d-3c

Kirill shows: 4h-9d-4c

After Kirill bets out each time, Bax puts him all in on 6th street.

Kirill catches a miracle 4 on the river to beat out Bax's pair of deuces.

I take it Bax had a set, rather than a pair?

also, didn't Cyndie Violet win her first braclet in Razz, after never playing it before? Howard Led. gave her a quick lesson beforehand.

That was Jennifer Harman, and it was deuce-to-the-seven lowball.

I played a 1-table satellite for 10K with him yesterday, and he told me the same thing, that he won that bracelet having never before played any stud in his life (other than some of the weird home game variants years ago, in, of all places, a home game).

Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)
