I'm not in love with the flop bet though as that board is going to hit a very high percentage of hands so I think your fold equity sucks and all you have is a gutshot that would hate to see a diamond.

mike - you must have some table iamge to raise this preflop. I know you advocate raising any 2 in this spot but it just doesnt work for me - still not sure why raising is better than checking and betting any flop when checked to.

It's for value, since your fold equity on the flop is so high. You may also have the best hand, and position.

I like it... w/ no reads i would make it 3 on turn tho
