Default Hide Me From Search?

Seems like as a multi-tabler I want people to be able to search for me if they want, right? That way people who are serious enough about their game to look into their opponents will hopefully go to another table, or at least fear me a little (irrationally or not... it doesn't matter).

What do you think?

I'm confused, just because you multi-table you won't neccesarilly be a good player.

Plus, people only search for fish or friends. There is no reason for someone to randomly search for you.

2 things make me wary of any new players I don't have notes on at my table:

1. "Not Available" as city/location
2. Unsearchable

I find that these players are usually tight and best to avoid. Fish usually don't bother with taking themselves off search.

More than half the players on my 100+ fishlist have search blocked.

They consistently show up as logged into party but it won't show a table when I search for them. This means they either have party opened but are not playing a table, or they have searched blocked. I'd wager dollars to donuts that most of them have search blocked. Also, often times I randomly find them sitting at a table even though a no table showed up when I searched for them.

I've heard of fish noticing that the same player/s always seem to find them and get upset about being stalked. They probably figure out how they're being stalked (they may be poor poker players, but that doesn't mean they're complete idiots), and how to remove themselves from being searched.

How do you know when someone is logged into party without being able to search for them? Is there some third party tool or something? Or is it just dumb-luck when you happen to sit at a table with them? Or I guess you could use PT to tell if someone was on one of the tables you were watching...
