Re: T9s vs. a pain in the ass
In hand 1,
If you think he hold's nothing, RAISE THE TURN. from his stats and play, i'm raising the turn and then eithr C/C river or value betting when he wimps out a bit. in hand 2 - where are your reads? is lagtard BB aswell? confused as you say its the only hand you've played below implying 1hand? Ill assume thats the same guy, i fold preflop and on the flop. |

Re: T9s vs. a pain in the ass
for people saying fold preflop, realize this is four handed and bob is stealing from the cutoff, standard with T9s.
I raise the turn or river in hand 1 and fold the turn hand 2. |

[/ QUOTE ] Ah yeah, Good point don't fold preflop then - I didn't check that my bad. i dont like the hand 2 plan here though, i think most guys will fire again on the turn and we don't have many outs to make flop call(we may pick up a OESD but lose to a king, only hope is maybe making trips/2pair with 7.3:1 to call and some outs may be dirty. What ya reckon? |

Re: T9s vs. a pain in the ass
hand 1 i say raise the turn 100% here
hand 2 i like a flop fold, even with prior history villain may have any ace, any jack, spade draw, or pocket pair below TT. I'd be inclined to fold the flop, although peeling for a T/9 is reasonable, I'd not do it. |

[grunch]
Hand 1 is fine although I might raise the river. Hand 2 you should raise the flop or fold. 33/22 isn't that unreasonable a player, and you didn't say how many hands you have on him. Your tens are good almost never vs. a reasonable hand range. You are beating 66-99 here plus maybe K9 and everything else beats you. |

Re: T9s vs. a pain in the ass
DERG, I am grunching, you know?
somehow, I don't think the read in hand 1 applies to hand 2. His pre-flop raising is a bit spewy, but not maniacal. Regarding Hand 2, most villain's pre-flop 3-betting standards are generally decent (he's not a 35/30/4 for example). In this case, I think we're often behind from pre-flop to river. I think you're goal is to get it to showdown, but I'm not sure it's worth it with this hand. I would probably raise/call the flop and fold the turn UI. |

Like said, hand 1 isn't that bad at all, it's ok. And hand 2 I would fold turn.

Re: T9s vs. a pain in the ass
Why does everyone say to raise the river in Hand 1 and not the turn. I agree one of these streets needs to be raised, but why the river? We have TPGK + outs to prob the nuts.
He may not bet the river for us to raise. |
