Default Clueless 2-4 NL

Playing 2-4 NL online, 10-handed

This is a hand I was completely clueless what to do, but think my turn decision was questionable and my river decision was not good.

EP (~400) limps, I have 77 in MP (~400) and limp. SB (~400) completes and BB checks.

Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Pot: 16

Checked to me. I bet 12. SB, who is a complete donkey calls. He's capable of calling here with any jack, a draw, 2 pair, or 88. EP min reraises to 24. No real reads on this guy. I reraise to 60. Both call.

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Pot: 195ish

Checked to me. I check (?). If SB hit his draw, my read is he'd try to checkraise this, not bet it.

River: J
Pot: 195ish

SB bets 150, EP calls, I?

Also, does anyone push on the turn?

I think you should raise more on the flop. at least 70

nice turn check as you really need the river to pair the board and check-raise would f-u up majorly.

push the river I think you are leaving money on the table by not pushing this...trips(given sb is a donk) ,striaght, flush will call you.

You need to re-raise more on the flop, you are giving them too good of odds to outdraw you. Plus SB seems like he's liable to call much more here than is correct ... raise as much as you think he'll call. Pot-sized raise looks like $100 (it's 76 by the time it gets back to you) so I'd go ahead and bump it up to 90-100.

I like your turn action. A flush is really likely here and you'd hate to get check/raised off your hand when you could have seen a boat for free and busted both of them.

River is an easy push.

Ya, I think pusing the river is the way to go. Calling isnot horrible as sb may have J8 J7, but I doubt it. Pushing will probably get sb to call with his flush, and BB will fold his trip jacks with his 9,T kicker.

Flop: Overbet the pot by putting in 20. You want to charge the draws with your great but vulnerable hand. Reraise to 150 after he raised.

Turn: Get it over with. Move in on turn.

If you are routinely considering folding this river without some sort of uberread, I think you are playing higher than your comfort level.

If he has AJ or 88 that sucks, but your money must go in the middle here.

All in on river. hope to catch the guy you call a donkey with a Jack or a person with the nut flush to think you are bluffing the boat.

Folding is outrageous.

Not moving in leaves money on the table much more often than not. They certainly didn't have a set on the flop, only feasible hand that beats you here is AJ and you will see that such a small % of the time that moving in is completely justified.
