Default Biography for Beatles, Stones...

I've got this thing my friends call a culture gap where I don't know so much about things like these bugs -- Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin...

So I'm thinking I should buy some books that will bring me up to speed on these things. Am I better off just reading the Wiki pages for these bands Rolling Stones , The Beatles, Led Zeppelin.

led-zeppelin.com
led-zeppelin.org
wiki is good too. Look up the one on just Jimmy Page (john Paul Jones is probably a good one too). They were both big name hired guns in the early-mid sixties London area.

Is the All Music Guide to obvious? Go there, search the band, follow the results to their biographies. Listen to samples.

While there check out Chuck Berry, Little Richard, etc.
