Re: 3/6 Party HH
Looks about right to me. I don't know how else you could've played it. You certainly could've led the flop, but with so many people in the pot, it's very likely someone will have hit at least a piece. The cold call and then cap when it comes back to you are pretty standard i think. Well played.

Re: 3/6 Party HH
I 3-bet that flop. You have a chance to maybe knock CO off AK/AQ, and if he does call then you have enough equity for the raise to be correct.

Re: 3/6 Party HH
I would have played it similarly except I don't understand why you would call 2 bets on the flop and then cap it once it is 3-bet? If it is worth capping then I would say that it is worth 3-betting. It probably doesn't matter much, but I think it would say a lot more about your opponents hand if he caps it rather than calling your 3-bet.

Re: 3/6 Party HH
cap is for value/deception. He doesn't three bet the flop because he doesn't want to blow the CO out of the hand and get it HU.

Re: 3/6 Party HH
Why not? If Cutoff has AK or AQ, why don't you want him to fold???

Re: 3/6 Party HH
I think you played this hand perfectly. The reason you go for the flop check/raise is because you dont want the button to fold if cutoff raises after u bet.
You've got great equity with 2 overcards and the nut flush draw so you gain much more money in the long run by checkraising and getting the most money in on the flop with as many players possible. Theres just no better way to play it imo. |
