I prefer check calling river, the turn check induces your opp. to bluff.
So you make more money when you are ahead, see what I'm saying? Here you have to call, but you are probably beat. |

I bet the turn, probably about $40-$50 against the "retarded" button. He likely has a bare A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or a pair and a draw, maybe just a pair. Hate to let that lone spade get a free river card, or a weaker hand get an easy opportunity to blow you off the best hand. If he calls that bet, I check-call a decent river bet up to about $80.
With the way you played it, I agree with the other posters, check-call the river. |
