Re-Raise, fold or call pre flop?

Flop was sort of awful and I was done with the hand if he bet anything significant..... 1/2 the pot or more... maybe even less...

Turn CR to small? I figured him for AK or AQ... KK and AA was also a possiblity in my mind for some rason...... I was fairly sure he would bet..... are there any people arguing for a call on the turn and a lead push on the river?

I push on the river.... [$28.65] about 1/2 the pot left in my stack? Thoughts?

no offense but it's not the 2nd nut boat.

QJ, QT, Q9 (on river) JJ, then TT is the order you are at in the hand.

I'm not saying that your hand isn't strong. It's very possible villain could have a broadway straight that you still beat.

You just need to know there is more than 2 hands that beat you (QQ and JJ) and decide if your opponent has one of the other three given the action.

Based on pre-flop activity.... I was fairly sure he didn't have the Qx family of boats.... If he is the type of player that plays those hands that way I cannot justify getting away from this hand anyway...... because more often then not I'll have the best of it.

JJ is possible....and he'll have out played me to stack me in the process.

I really don't like putting in the 2nd pre-flop raise with pocket tens. On the river, the only hand that I see paying you off that you beat is KK or maybe AK if the player is LAG pre-flop. I think that a $30-40 value bet on the river is gonna be the best line.

EDIT: After looking at the stacks, I think that you might as well just push because a 1/2-2/3 pot value bet is going to be almost your entire stack anyway.

The re-raise PF can sometimes lead to another raise and you may get pushed off the hand by certain players. Your set value is much better just calling this.

I usually do not re-raise with TT in this position... but I do it every now and then... maybe 10% of the time or less....... so I aggree with that line of play......

Even though I pushed... can I get away from this hand after I hit the Ts full on the turn? Lets say he pushes the turn when I CR'ed?

IMO raise :

He re-raised preflop --&gt; Pocket pair.

Probably AA and KK since he re-raise. But if he is somehow loose, maybe he also re-raise with QQ and JJ, which owns you badly.

as already said, the preflop min-reraise isn't great unless he's been a complete maniac. even then i'd rather play it for set value and bust him.

i think you should lead the turn. he checked behind the flop, so you have no real reason to expect him to bet the turn.

as played, yes, your check-raise is way too low.

I agree... I didn't play the hand well at all.... I didn't want to title the thred... "can I get away from this?"

It turned out he had QQ.... that hand in that situation (at this limit) is usually good.... .....
