was this a dumb checkraise?
Sorry converter isn't working so i gotta do it off of memory.
Pacific Poker $11. 3 handed. Blinds are 50/100. Medium stack (UTG) ~ t2100 Hero (SB) ~ t1300 Big Stack (BB) ~ 4700 Big stack has been agressive when checked to. Dealt to Hero: Ac 7d SB folds. Hero raises to t250. BB calls. Pot is t500. Flop is: As 4c 3c Hero checks. Big stack bets t300. Hero pushes. I figured that all my money was going in the middle no matter what he bet so I figured I would try to get a bluff out of him. Thoughts? Also, was my preflop raise terrible? BTW, the blinds were about to go up to 75/150. |

Re: was this a dumb checkraise?
Why not call the flop? You don't mind most cards, try to get another bet out of him.

Me too. Only 750 behind so. I hate calling here.

Re: was this a dumb checkraise?
Well villian ended up calling with 4 10 and knocked me out. But that's how things go. Thanks for the input.

Re: was this a dumb checkraise?
I think I'd usually just bet the flop. Of course if he bluffs a lot, go for the check/raise. I don't like check/calling either.
