good luck and welcome to the forum. don't take your bro too seriously. learn to separate the stuff that's really important for success in sngs from the things that are important for success at getting good at poker. they're massively different. also, don't be afraid to decide you like non sng poker more than sng poker.

Then I remember that I get bored easily, and I don't think I could take the grind of the anti-climactic cash game.
