how to get into canada? [/ QUOTE ] I think a few waves of air strikes to neutralize their air defense capabilities, followed by carpet bombing to demoralize their ground troops is probably a good place to start. |

Re: how to get into canada?
[ QUOTE ]
Slight hijack- I have a DWAI (lesser offense than DWI) and in the drunk driving class I was forced to take by the court the instructor said that basically we couldn't get into canada because DWI is such a serious offense there and we could be arrested for trying. Anyone know anything about this? I did a google search and I found a lot of conflicting info. [/ QUOTE ] Slow response here, but I can say that I got into Canada while technically still not allowed to leave the US becuase of a DWI arrest earlier in the year. It was New Years Eve and I was with friends heading for Montreal, so the guy let me slip through. I do know that the problem was not at all related to the fact that I had a DWI, only that it was still under its Continued without a Finding status. |

Re: how to get into canada?
All you ever need to cross the border is a valid drivers liscense. Sometimes they dont even ask for it while going to Canada, but on the way back you might as well have it out of your wallet and be ready to hand it over because you WILL get asked.
Bring the BC anyways, just in case. 98% of the time you will not need it though. |

Re: how to get into canada?
[ QUOTE ]
As a side note everyone probably already knows: in 2007 and later you will need a passport to go to Mexico, the Carribean, and Canada. And virtually everywhere else. Do yourselves a favor, get a passport. It's very easy to do and doesn't cost a ton either. [/ QUOTE ] Just to clarify, you will still be able to get into Canada and Mexico without a passport. The US just won't let you back in without one. |
