Default AQ hand vs LAG

100+9 22,000 Guar on UB

My read on the limper is hes very LAG. I have seen him limp a lot and be very agro on flops when HU. esp. vs weaker players.

My Image is tight agro. Maybe 2 or 3 orbits ago I raised 3 times first with AQ, then AK, (which i showed down) then AJ. Each time stealing the blinds. I have not done anything out of line and have not showndown much.

Jon_Nilsen21 is at seat 0 with 5565.

Fold. You might be ahead but I just can't see myself calling off a healthy stack with AQ given how you've described the situation. You have characterized yourself as tight (even though raising 3 times in an orbit might suggest otherwise). You also say that he likes to limp a lot pre-flop and is aggro when heads up on the flop. There's no mention of him being aggro and coming over the top like this pre-flop. There are very few hands you are ahead of here. Even an aggro person probably doesn't risk his tourney with Ax or KQ and you're obviously behind AK and all pairs.

It sounds like he's probably putting a move on you, but I don't think you have the hand to call him down. 66-99 seems like a reasonable range, but I would hate to find out the hard way that he decided to trap you with AA.

I don't really see how you can call this. I'm thinking at BEST you're up against a smaller pair. Should be an easy fold, too many chips to risk.

I've seen people do this with AA to Q-8 suited. I think I agree with the consensus and find a better spot. He could have anything, most of the time you are an underdog.

Fold, and have AA the next time he does this.

I have a rule that I stick to at all times... never call a reraise with AQ. This rule has served me well, and I think it would serve others well as well. AQ is in trouble against most reraising hands. At best you could be up against AJ or KQ, maybe middle pair, but overall it is -EV to call that allin.

I agree 100%

AQ looks like an amazing hand at first but when up again a raise or a reraise it loses a good amount of value. Of course this all depends on a number of things (chip stacks, reads, tournament size/structure), but generally it will get you in trouble when someone is showing strength after you do.
