Re: Aces in pos., deep vs 2+2
If you decide to bet river and call raise, why don't you just check call since he would probably bet less on river + he would probably value bet worse hands like 8 or bluff missing draws if you check. Since you bet and get min raised, I think your AA is not good. Min raise on river usually wants a call and he is not afraid of your possible over pair. What's the purpose of blocking river as you play?

Re: Aces in pos., deep vs 2+2
I remember playing a hand like this against a solid, aggressive opponent. After I bet the river the chat went like this:
Him: Hmm... really? Him: Your KK Him: Are no good Then he went all-in. Then I folded and never ever again used that betting pattern with an overpair. |

Re: Aces in pos., deep vs 2+2
my line is normally pot, pot, check call.
although sometimes it may be pot, checkraise, bet. and rarely it's pot, check call, check. And TWP is right about this hand, it's not deep and you're out of position. |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't disagree with bet, bet, check call but my point is there shouldn't be an obligation to bet the river just because we check called the turn. |
