haven't read the thread... but i'd think TOP is pretty close. and some of the essay books.... BTW, there are university professors who study poker (for the math and game theory etc. angles) and i'm sure there are articles considered ground-breaking or seminal (correct english??)

For what it's worth, at the "Seventh Conference on Gambling and Risk Taking" sponsored by the University of Nevada-Reno and held in 1987, I gave a paper titled "Non-Self Weighting Strategies and Bankroll Requirements." Peter Griffing was the moderator. This material now appears in my book Gambling Theory and Other Topics. Best wishes, Mason
