Default 10/25 UB flush draw

MP opens. Button calls. I call from blind w/ A8d. Everyone has about $2800 total. About $300 in pot. Both of these guys are unknown, but seem pretty typical - a little too loose, not super aggro, not super tricky, nothing special really.

Flop is As 7d 5d

Your plan?

Pot it, hope to take it down right away, if not, take it from there. I doubt I'm 3-betting this flop ever, though.

If I get action it's likely my A outs aren't clean. Plus from what I've read of these games, people aren't afraid to play marginal hands in the face of aggression, therefore I'm not sure how high my folding equity is.

Of course, this is all speculation on my behalf.

edit - after crunching some numbers, maybe I should start 3-betting these. I'm currently much more likely to do it if I think all my outs are clean, but there isn't that big a difference. I'm curious as to what others think.

I think it depends how villians perceive you. If they would perceive a bet as a make hand AK/AQ I think you bet out. however if betting out looks weak and more like a steal attempt I like a pot sized check raise. It will be difficult to make a lot of chips if they put you on a flush draw. anyone with an ace here is going to protect their hand vs your draw. Most solid opponents will only call with hands like yours from the blinds.

I say if you're going to play this hand be aggressive with it.

why do I get the feeling diablo already knows how to play this hand and is just teling us..

ok, say you bet 250 and get raised to 1000. i just think that puts you in a weird spot.

if it were me id fold pf. Good opponents just wont pay off your flush enough to make this worth while.

I think check raising would be a better line, as it may earn you a free card on the turn.
