Default Recommend good affordable Ipod headphones

My old headphones broke and they were crappy anyway. I just got the new 60 GB photo one and I've never liked the in ear headphones because my ears are sensitive like that.

I would like out of ear headphones.

I don't like buds like this:

I don't like jacket ones like this:

I DO like headphones like this:

Ones that have the pads that cover your whole ear but don't surround them.

Can any one recommend decent sounding affordable ones that are the same style as the ones in the last picture? I'd prefer to spend less than $60 but I could be persuaded to spend a little more provided they are good headphones.

Thanks.

Before entering the thread I was asking myself, "What are peadphones?"

There are Sennheisers PDX100, they are decent quality non-cup mini size. I believe they have a oversize model too that is non-cup...........EH1430.

Grado SR-60 is probably the best choice non-cups. Maybe a little oversized though for your taste.

I agree with Sennheiser PX100. Not too much $ and very highly rated. They are also what you are looking for shape and fit-wise.

Figured it was better to bump an old thread than start a new one.

My complain with earphones is that even when very loud you can still hear over them. There are often times when I want to tune people out... (=trying to sleep/concentrate etc)

How much sound do these let in?

I realize you don't like the earbud style, but don't judge them all by the crappy ones included with the Ipod. Take a look at these. They fit inside the ear like ear plugs, don't aggrevate your ear canal and don't fall out. On top of that they provide much better sound than most other styles. You can get really fancy ones from other makers, but these Sony ones work well for me, and cost about $35 shipped. The model is MDR-EX71.
