Default I quess i suck at 30/60.

All hands are between 7 and 10 on a table played without table selection (6-tabling). I finally hit -200BB streak at last 3K hands and felt pretty tilted, back to 15/30 and after 1.5K hands won 40$ and find myself too laggy for 15/30 and too weak-passive for 30/60. It was my second shot at 30/60. First was when they opened 6 tables. Both of them were started with good positive streak and ended with moderate but too dissapointed downstreak (when i can't see that much bad beats - i simply feel that im outplayed somewhere i can't find where).

There is something completely wrong with my game as i feel 30/60 is still beatable for a good winrate. But too aggressive style still doesn't comfortable for me while multitabling and 'fit or fold' style which is good for lower level is obviously doesn't work here. So i have dilema either to continue pushing 30/60 lesser tables with help of deeper reads (using table selection which one i actually hate to do usually) to extract more EV and reduce downswings or step back to 15/30 6-tabling. Anyway - any tips and thoughts about stats are welcomed.

Stats for 30/60 are below:

I think you should drop back to 2 or 3 tables until you are beating the game for a healthy ammount. I think you should definitely conquer the 30/60 since I think there is a significant chance that it will kill the 15/30 game. (I have never played the 10/20 full, but I have read many times that it is tougher than the 15/30. I would be concerned that the 30/60 is going to suck a lot of the fish out of the 15/30 and leave the games less profitable.)

I'm going through the exact same. I've dropped to 4 tables but my interest in poker has almost gone so i struggle to even watch hands/players now.

I'm away for the next few days but after that i'll log a few sessions and we should both trade hand histories and post the ones we disagree on.

Ditto. I'm getting whooped in the 30 as well (although I sincerely feel I'm playing well and am taking a few bad beats). I can't see your stats, but one thing I found out about my stats is that I am simply attempting to steal too often and defending too often, namely against better players.

If you're so inclined, copy and paste the URLs into a browser:

That works for me.

The images won't load if linked to from another site.

For what it's worth: I was playing with you for a couple of hours the other night (30/60) at a table where you were having a major downswing. It seemed to me that you were mostly bad beat. You played a few marginal hands maybe a little to agressive, but nothing out of line.

That is if your screen name is what I think it is.

Maybe I'm mising it but I don't see the key stat IMO your standard deviation per hand. Is it there and if not what is it? From some cursory calculations you could easily be playing break even poker and be down 200 BBs after 30,000 hands.

Thanks Peter.

Take heart: Sample Size - 4 hands lost on the turn of a card at 15BB each would make 120BB difference in your stats. But you can best know if this is in your data.

Is your BB figure consistent with your 15/30 number? If it's worse, maybe you can tighten up / be more aggressive here. Another idea, though the 51% W$SD is good, maybe the pots you lost are bigger (on average) than the ones you win. I'd take a look to see the nature of the play which causes this (relatively speaking) and see if there isn't something to exploit.

Here's a question though, are there fewer loose players at 30/60? If so, there's the answer to smart-TAG play being less productive. Which brings back table selection point!
