Veteran poster TSToneMBD has made a well-thought out post with lots of suggestions for improving the 2+2 forums. It's a bit acerbic at times but well-intentioned. What do we think?

I'll look more closely at this on Monday. It looks like there's some good stuff. Creating/ splitting forums is relatively easy. We have hired a designer to make some improvements to the non-forum parts of our website. I think we need new forum software as well, however.

I'm very much in favor of the HUSH split. That is clearly something that will very strongly benefit both HUSH and Micro. As for a HU3 forum, I'm somewhat indifferent. I'm not sure if it will have the traffic, but perhaps its inception will create that traffic. I'm not sure about the mid/high split, either. Does that forum get enough traffic to warrant the split? I don't frequent it, but, IMO, one forum with a medium amount of traffic is better than two forums with half as much.

Having a central spot for announcements sounds like a great idea.

Yeah, it would be great to get the Mid-high mods to weigh in on this. I think bobbyi is one...don't remember the others?

DCifrThis is the other (easy to verify if you go to the forum and look at the list of moderators). I agree that mid and high should be separate.
